Collåbo Brand
& Website
Bringing a modern showroom concept to life through brand and digital design
Collåbo is a creative showroom where interior designers and builders can explore materials in a realistic setting, supported by curated experiences, events, and workshops. The concept blends inspiration and practicality, helping professionals make confident design decisions in a tactile, well-designed space.
I was responsible for the whole brand creation, from defining the visual identity to designing and producing marketing materials, social media assets, and the website that reflects Collåbo’s modern, design-forward spirit.
Scope
Brand identity design: Including logo design, typography, color palette, and overall visual language
Marketing & event materials: Design of brochures, event signage, social media assets, and templates
Website design & development
Continued collaboration with the team on design needs across physical and digital touchpoints
Deliverables
Complete brand identity system (logo, colors, typography, graphic elements)
Website built in Webflow
Print-ready templates for brochures and promotional material
Social media assets and visual guidelines
Directional documentation for future brand usage
Constraints
Collåbo was a brand-new concept with no prior material, requiring the identity to be built entirely from scratch.
A limited early-stage budget meant that assets needed to be scalable, reusable, and efficient to produce and manage.
Establishing the Brand Direction
The goal was to create a brand that stands out not just visually, but emotionally. Collåbo needed to feel approachable yet stylish, modern but playful, well-considered but flexible. In a market where many interior-related brands had started to blend together under the same minimal Scandinavian aesthetic, we set out to do something different.
Together with the founder, an interior architect and designer herself, we explored a more vibrant and expressive direction. She wanted the identity to feel colorful, lively, and a little imperfect. Something with personality and a touch of handmade charm to balance the otherwise sleek world of interior design.
The color palette was inspired by the actual showroom interior. Burgundy, salmon red, beige, and muted blue became the core tones, grounded in the physical space, yet expressive enough to carry across digital and printed materials.
The logo was hand-drawn and went through several rounds of iteration before we landed on the final form. We created multiple versions for different use cases, along with supporting brand elements to ensure consistency and flexibility.
To bring in an unexpected twist, we also introduced a bold holographic foil in some printed applications, adding a playful edge that reflects the brand’s creative and welcoming spirit. Because getting help with your renovation or decoration shouldn’t feel intimidating, it should feel like a joy. That’s what we aimed to capture in the visual identity.
The visual identity came together through a close, collaborative process with the founder. It was a fast-paced and hands-on journey where we tested ideas, explored different directions, and shaped the brand as we went. With a tight schedule, an iterative approach proved to be the most effective, allowing us to see what truly worked not just on paper, but across real-world applications and touchpoints.
The Collåbo brand comes to life in the physical space itself. From window taping that catches the eye to branded elements inside the showroom, the identity is present but never overpowering. The space remains the core expression of the brand—the visual design simply amplifies what’s already there. With a flexible and distinctive visual language, the brand easily adapts across touchpoints while maintaining a strong and recognisable presence.
In addition to designing print and online advertisements, I also created a range of materials to support customer interactions and sales. These included brochures, handouts, and branded templates that helped ensure a consistent and professional experience
I designed and built the Collåbo website using Squarespace, focusing on clarity, personality, and ease of maintenance.
The site introduces the vision behind the showroom and serves as a place for visitors to discover the different partners, referred to as collaborators, whose materials and products are showcased in the space. For the collaborator section, we took a more unorthodox approach, inspired by how interior designers build moodboards and material palettes. The result is a playful, layered layout that reflects the creative nature of the concept.
The site also includes a section for events, with custom landing pages when needed, such as for Collåbo’s first seasonal event, a curated Christmas shop.
